A native Texan, Naomi Sanchez traveled to California to seek adventure. Little did she know that she would be able to make a career in it! After graduating from Saint Edward’s University in Criminal Justice, she joined the military and traveled the world where she served in Germany, Kosovo and Iraq. After the military, she joined arc Adventure in 2008 and, realizing nature and teaching were now the highlight of her life, she decided to pursue both. In 2010, Naomi completed a 94-day Outdoor Educator winter semester with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) in Wyoming and Utah. Now, she leads groups ranging from 5 to 150 on adventures that emphasize team-building, self-building, self-esteem, and teaching responsibility in the great outdoors. As Outdoor Education Manager with arc Adventure, Naomi is excited to lead her team and the many schools and organizations through adventure. She also fills her spare time with her own adventures in triathlons and racing events; she completed her first Ironman in 2013 and completed her second Ironman in Canada, raising over $12,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
